The Reciters
of VR.

Every archive is only as alive as the voices that fill it. Meet the men and women who have entrusted their gift to Voices of the Reciters — carrying the legacy of the Ahlulbayt through every recitation, every syllable, every breath.

About the Reciters

A voice placed
in sincere service.

A reciter at VR is not simply a performer. They are a carrier of the message of the Ahlulbayt — someone who has recognised that their voice is an amanah, a trust from Allah, and chosen to use it in His service.

The best voice is the one that makes you feel that the one speaking fears Allah.

Recitations & Latmiyyat
Devotional rhythmic recitations performed in remembrance of the Ahlulbayt — the heartbeat of gatherings in Muharram, Arbaeen, and beyond.
Nohas & Anasheed
Lamentation poetry and Islamic hymns — from grief for the martyrs of Karbala to celebrations of the Prophet and his Ahlulbayt.
Duas & Ziyarat
Supplications and salutations from the Imams, recited melodically in English and Arabic — for daily and seasonal worship.
Spoken-Word Poetry
Original Islamic poetry performed as spoken word in English and Somali — a contemporary voice for a timeless message.

The Standard

Not perfection.
Sincerity.

We do not require a professional studio or a flawless voice. We require three things from every reciter who works with VR. These are not optional qualities — they are the foundation of everything we produce together.

The Work
Ihsan — Excellence

We pursue beauty, quality, care, and intentionality in every recording. We do not rush. We do not settle for half-measures. Excellence is not a standard we aim for — it is an obligation.

The Intention
Ikhlas — Sincerity

We seek the pleasure of Allah above recognition, popularity, or personal gain. Every recitation begins and ends with this intention. The sincerity of the voice is what makes it reach hearts.

The Relationship
Adab — Proper Conduct

We carry ourselves with respect and humility — toward the content we produce, the community we serve, and one another. The adab of a deed shapes its acceptance.

A gift is only complete
when it is given.

If you have been blessed with a voice, a pen, or a gift that could serve the Ahlulbayt — Voices of the Reciters wants to hear from you. Every great archive begins with one voice choosing to share.
